THE BODY CONTROL PILATES METHOD
Body Control Pilates is based on the work of Joseph Pilates (1880-1967), who created a series of exercises that built core strength without adding bulk and balanced that strength with flexibility. Pilates teaches the body good movement patterns, correcting any faulty ones and any muscle imbalance. Pilates will improve your posture, keep your joints healthy and in correct alignment, give you greater flexibility, lengthen your spine and tone your body - a flatter stomach is just one of the benefits!
Whilst the 'classical' Pilates exercises may take many years to perfect, we break all the exercises down so you can enjoy the benefits after only a few lessons as you begin to do more advanced exercises. You'll be amazed how quickly your body becomes stronger and ready for the more challenging exercises. Pilates is great for beginners but also challenges the skills and stamina of the more advanced practitioners.
